Capsaicin (Cayenne Pepper)
The Sabre Hand Strap Dog Repellent is an aerosol deterrent from Sabre that the listing says is formulated specifically for dogs and coyotes. It features a hook and loop hand strap, which the page recommends for runners, walkers and bikers. The page lists the active ingredient as capsaicin (cayenne pepper), the specifications list the type as a repellent and the quantity as 22 g, and the page gives no other dimensions.
The hand strap keeps the canister secured to your hand, so it stays within easy reach during a run, a walk or a ride instead of sitting at the bottom of a pocket or bag. The compact 22 g size is light enough to carry on a daily route without weighing you down, which makes it a practical choice for anyone who regularly spends time outdoors on trails, streets or paths.
This repellent suits outdoor enthusiasts, dog walkers and cyclists who want some extra peace of mind on their routes, as well as anyone who lives or works in an area with roaming dogs or coyotes. As with any product of this kind, it is worth reading the label and following the manufacturer’s directions.
If you are looking for a compact, strap-equipped aerosol deterrent for dogs and coyotes, take a look at the Sabre Hand Strap Dog Repellent.
