The San Francisco Scale is a compact digital pocket scale from USA Weigh that the listing says is made for weighing valuables such as gold, silver, coins, gems, medication and herbs. The description spells the city name differently from the title, as “Fransisco,” and it gives a maximum capacity of 100 grams with an accuracy of 0.01 gram, while the size menu and specifications also offer a second version rated at 600 grams with an accuracy of 0.1 gram, so the capacity is worth checking before ordering. The page highlights a control panel that opens and closes with light pressure, and says the scale supports four weighing units, which are ounces, grains, grams and carats. It also includes auto calibration and an automatic shut-off after 60 seconds, and it is intended for non-professional use. The specifications list the materials as plastic and stainless steel.
Auto calibration helps keep measurements consistent, the automatic shut-off saves power when the scale is left on, and the multiple units let you switch to whichever one suits the item you are weighing. The compact dimensions slip easily into a pocket or bag, which makes the scale handy for travel as well as for use at home, and the stainless steel platform wipes clean easily.
This scale suits hobbyists, collectors and anyone who wants a small, accurate scale for everyday use, but it is not meant for professional or trade purposes.
If you are looking for a compact digital pocket scale with four weighing units and auto shut-off, take a look at the San Francisco Scale.
